We promise you will leave with a new lease on life!

Founded in 2019, Jewel Boudoir Photography is Iowa’s Premier Boudoir Studio. Our mission is to help women grow in their journey of self love. With over 15 sets/props to choose from, and a team of professional photographers, beauticians, and women supporting you along the way, we are the best in the business.

Julie Fridley

My name is Julie Fridley. I am the owner and lead photographer at Jewel Boudoir Photography. I am a small-town Iowa girl living in Milo, Iowa. I have been a wedding videographer and photographer since 2015, though it really started for me back in high school, in the 1980s. My true passion is capturing people and showing them another side to themselves that they didn’t know they had. On July 25, 2019, I quit my full-time job to chase my dreams of making more people see themselves as the truly beautiful person that they are. I haven’t looked back, as being a boudoir photographer was the best decision I’ve ever made!

There are photographers of all kinds in the world, but my specialty is boudoir. I fell in love with boudoir because I see firsthand how this changes people and changes the way they see themselves. Everyone walks a little taller and I love hearing, “That is me, wow!” or “I am beautiful – I love me!”

Beautician/Studio Assistant

Chelsei Wadle

I graduated from La James Cosmetology School in Johnston, IA in 2005. I have been doing hair and makeup for over 15 years and love helping men and women feel their best and love the person they see in the mirror. My favorite part of doing hair and makeup for boudoir is the “wow” energy when gals are all dolled up.

Chelsei is the mother of 2 growing boys and loves spending time with her family. In Chelsei’s free time she enjoys refurbishing furniture and reading a good book.

Chelsei has also taken on the role of Studio Assistant here at JBP and helps us manage all the day to day tasks of the biz!

Digital Media Assistant

Jenny Sveum

My name is Jenny Sveum. I am Julie’s daughter and live in Stuttgart, Germany. I have recently joined to help support the digital media for my mother’s business. I graduated from Iowa State University in 2012 with a degree in Communications and English. I have since lived in Germany and work as an English teacher for children. I am a musician on the side and have navigated my way through social media promotion. I am happy to use this experience to promote my mom’s wonderful work! I hope to eventually move back to Iowa and join the in-house team.

Client Coordinator

Rebecca (Bex) Pelton

Hello! I’m Bex! Originally from Upstate NY, I moved to Rhode Island for college and the ocean won my heart… I have been here ever since and just recently bought my own home. Few things in life make me happier than flowers, my parents, sunsets, love and my 19-year-old cat Bigz. I started working with boudoir clients in 2020 and immediately was drawn in by all of the women’s answers to the “why” questions! Why now? Why boudoir? Why this photographer? In a year that was so uncertain and isolating, speaking with women and hearing their stories made me feel connected to this new community. It is my absolute privilege to speak with women on their journeys of healing, empowerment, self-discovery, celebration and all the things in between. Having a chance to work with clients all over the country is something that I cherish and feel so truly honored to be a part of.

Alli Marois

I graduated from the Iowa School of Beauty and have been licensed since 2018. I enjoy doing boudoir makeup for the same reason I got into hair and makeup, to make women feel good about themselves. I love the fact that I can change someone’s day with one twist of a curling iron or a pair of lashes.

Outside of hair and makeup Alli enjoys spending quality time with her husband, dog, and new baby girl.

Alli does hair and makeup full time at Adour Salon in Indianola, IA.
